Trying to improve my sewing skills

I love historical dress so I've been experimenting with this sort of garment. It's very challenging and a lot of fun. That maroon dress form has been such a help for fitting. You dial it to the right size. Before I'd have to put things on and off while I was sewing them. It never worked out.
