I'm going to Mississippi today

I really liked Elvis Costello's album The Delivery Man. He recorded it in Mississippi so I wanted to check it out. The pollen's more potent here and it's quite annoying.

I took a lot of pictures yesterday.

This was my favorite.

I went out with a very wide lens. I was sorry when I saw the cute little goslings. I would have liked a tight shot of them.

I ordered a Canon 5D. This picture was taken with the 5D and a 16-35/2.8 L lens. I had to send the camera back for a replacement because the lcd screen had a weird problem.

Timmy's family is dealing with the fact that he had

to go to Iraq. His Dad wanted me to take some pictures before he left.

Fred was given a surprise birthday party.

I went to Manhattan yesterday to meet with a

nice person at Wireimage, a photo agency. Afterwards I went to a dog run park.

Wonderful Surprise Birthday Party

Garrett and I shot a really great birthday party for Francois Carol. You can see how much his wife and daughters love him in the picture of him blowing out his candles.

We all thought my fascination/adoration of Elvis would have petered out by now. It's too late, the man's music is in my veins. I have received so much listening to Elvis's music. I have learned that some country music is great. Cacophonous jazz has its place. Burt Bachrach, though cheesy, was genuinely talented. I think Elvis is making the most amazing music of his career right now.
