I read gawker.com more than I care to admit.

It's very snarky and "I'm smarter than you are" but I like to see them mocking the same people who annoy me. I'm talking about insolent people but the people at gawker are insolent too so it's difficult to figure out where I stand on all this.

They have a contributing photographer who is very talented named Nikola Tamindzic. Here's his site

So I've been trying to figure out how Nikola T. gets such interesting results. I concluded that he's using two flashes at the same time. Here's my attempt at this style.

I was trying to do some jewelry photography.

I don't think I have the lens for it but I kind of want to buy it. It would be about seven hundred dollars to get the right stuff (I think).

I took this at Bridgehampton Polo. Russell Simmons is a little difficult to photograph. He won't just smile for you. I was thinking about putting pictures of mine that I have found in magazines on the blog but I don't really want to bother. I'm probably just going to save the clippings in a folder.

I've always really liked Billy Joel's music.

It's Labor Day. The summer is over(ish) and I'm

feeling reflective. The blog has fallen into disrepair for various reasons.

1. Blogger is very difficult. You never know if it's going to work.
2. I feel like I can't say anything bad about jobs that I do.

I had a big gig on Saturday and a wedding yesterday.
